Terms & Conditions
This is the terms and conditions for our website.
Aurafrique Grand Adventures | The Imperial Standard
Welcome to Aurafrique Grand Adventures (AGA). By embarking on a journey with us, you agree to the following terms, designed to ensure the excellence, safety, and exclusivity of your Tanzanian expedition.
1. The Luxury Contract
A binding agreement is formed once AGA receives your initial deposit and issues a formal Confirmation of Expedition. All bookings are subject to availability at our partner boutique lodges and luxury camps.
2. Pricing & Currency
All rates are quoted in United States Dollars (USD). While we strive for price stability, AGA reserves the right to adjust rates in the event of significant changes to government levies, Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) fees, or fuel surcharges.
3. Payment Schedule
- Deposit: A 30% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your private guides, vehicles, and premium accommodations.
- Final Balance: The remaining 70% must be settled no later than 60 days prior to your arrival. For bookings made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required immediately.
4. Cancellations & "Grand" Refunds
Because we secure exclusive-use properties and private charters, the following cancellation schedule applies:
- 60+ days before arrival: Loss of deposit.
- 30–59 days before arrival: 50% of the total expedition cost.
- Under 30 days before arrival: 100% of the total expedition cost.
- Note: We professionally advise all guests to secure comprehensive "Cancel For Any Reason" travel insurance.
5. Zanzibar & Private Marine Charters
- Sultan’s Legacy Retreats: Private villa bookings are subject to the specific "exclusive-use" policies of our coastal partners.
- Sea Conditions: Yacht charters are weather-dependent. If conditions are unsafe, AGA will substitute a land-based cultural experience of equal prestige.
- Luggage: Private air charters between the Serengeti and Zanzibar strictly enforce a 15kg (33lbs) limit in soft-sided bags.
6. Kilimanjaro Prestige Treks
Safety is our ultimate priority. Our Lead Guides retain absolute authority to halt a summit attempt for any guest showing signs of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) or other health risks.
7. Documentation & Liability
Guests are responsible for obtaining a Tanzania e-Visa and ensuring passports are valid for six months beyond travel. AGA acts as an agent for elite third-party suppliers and is not liable for delays or "Acts of God" (Force Majeure).
8. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be settled exclusively in the courts of Arusha.
